EVENING IN THE UKRAINIAN FOLK STYLE

In preparation for the annual conference and training for the Sales Force team of GlaxoSmithKline, BRIK consulting consultants prepared and held the event “Evening in the Ukrainian folk style”. It was a real immersion in the Ukrainian folk traditions and rituals, to maintain the national spirit.
The participants of the evening felt the power of the national spirit. For example, at the master-class on weaving wreaths everyone could create their own floral masterpiece and feel the symbolism and sacredness of this ritual. After all, the very process of weaving wreaths of flowers energizes the earth, which is absorbed by plants. Rituals with wreaths around fires give the energy of fire – the energy of life. And the energy of water strengthens us when we lower the wreaths into the water. This whole ritual unites us with nature.
In folk traditions there is nothing superfluous. Each action carries deep meaning and power.
For example, at a master class on weaving horses from ropes, participants did not just make beautiful souvenirs-amulets with their own hands. They created a symbol of victory.
The lights of the evening fire, the splash of water from the Kiev Sea, the warmth of the outgoing summer, the power of nature, the magical power of folk traditions — all this created a unique magical atmosphere in which the souls and hearts of the evening participants were revealed.
